I think article submission is not just the best way
to get traffic but also seo. Forum posting and
blog commenting seems to be the best.
@Urwaind, I'm sorry but, traffic does not just come within a twinkle of an eye
You need to be patient and wait a while and if possible
add your link to your forum signature and the link to your article too
in that case, your traffic generation will hastened.

Yes.You are true.
Just submitting will not help.There is more to be done.
You have to submit the article links to search engines as well.
Then Do a perfect SEO for keywords you target.(I can help with software if you want)
Then add your site url to signature in every forum and blog you are active in.
Then submit your site url to backlinking sites( I can help with DO FOLLOW site links where you can post to get backlinks)
What else ..wait for a month or so before traffic runs in..Meanwhile keep updating the site regularly.Google loves blogsites which get updated.

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization...how it's done, or what it truly contains is beyond what I know hehe...But I know its the process of improving your site ranking on google for example. Various different tactics such as effective use of keywords, Meta tags and external links all help with boosting a site’s ranking, or your sites SEO.

Basically there is a formula google uses that is a closely guarded secret, as with all search engines. There is a medium between good practices and bad ones. Too much of x keyword would make your ranking go down, or little of x keyword would not make your site go higher in the ranks.

There is just soo much in this category, I know I should have learned more 50 years ago hehe...but then, I like the guessing game...We all would...if we all know the different guessing games existent I'm sure we'd find one we like.

But I'm sure it's something I should really find the answer too in order to increase site traffic...it's no wonder there are sooo many people selling SEO ebooks it's a great market to sell ebooks in, especially when, no one, except profound search engines such as google/yahoo/bing or whatever know the real secrets and answers behind, and they aren't willing to share their knowledge of their search engine creations.

Yes i also think that article submission in directory is really very useful and effective in promotion of website but i think we also have to do other things cause its not compulsory that we can generate traffic only by this we also have to do other advertisements and seo.
