Should I delete adsense?

Hello, I have had a leaderboard ad on the top of my site for a long while now.

All I have earned is 9 NOK (aprox. 1,50$)!!!!!!!!

I am wandering if this is really worth it, but if shall remove it what shall be there then???

Do you think removing it will reduce bounce rate??

BTW my website is thefakevirus.com and the ad is in the top.

That's more then I've gotten from adsense so far

For it to be profitable, you need a good user base; the more visitors you have, the bigger the chance they'll click.

Not sure any other ad options would be more profitable, if that's what you're looking for as replacement, haven't really tested any others. Another option is doing a banner exchange with another site, in order to attract traffic, and once that picks up set the ads back.

You can just change the image ad to text ad.
As you know the leader board below menu works as one among the best ad positions.
And you can put ads in the article with text wrapped around it.
And finally, you are running a nice site.All those who come to your site are well versed with differentiating the ad and the content.
How do you expect them to click?
You need to find other niches.

Adsense is great im on £31.21 it takes time you just need the popularity to help also google adwords works along side it very well.
