    HDD upgrade

    I currently own a 250gb harddrive, and it's at about 200gb full.

I am thinking of buying an additional 500gb/1tb HDD. It's all SATA.

Here is a full page of models I could get. Which one do you suggest?

(no price limit, I want best quality/price)

    I was thinking of buying http://www.4allmemory.com/index.cfm?...duct_id=238003 .

I would go for http://www.4allmemory.com/index.cfm?...duct_id=238003 because I've been using baracudas for years and they've always been good on me.

Ya, I was thinking of the baracuda since the 250gb is a barracuda and I had not problem, with a pretty good speed (and reduced noise during normal operation).

If your system supports at least SATA II, I would shoot for a high RPM drive that uses SATA II with enough space to suit you as well as a disk that has ample write cache which proves to be very useful in Vista and Windows 7, as well as some other operating systems. Nothing worse than getting a large, slow disk.

Wait, 1TB? Which one are you planning to buy? 2.5"(Laptop) or 3.5"(Desktop)?

Either way, I suggest you go with Western Digital because Seagate drives aren't as reliable like they used to be...

I am buying a 3.5 1TB seagate drive, it should be at my home this week. And, if it fails, I have money-back guarantee!

I got a 80GB for Windows and apps, and that 35% full, and I got a 1TB external drive for my data. 80GB drive is Seagate, 1TB drive is WD
