    how to monitor the speed in the router?

    Dear All,

    i have a router and one desktop and a laptop. i want to limit the speed of the internet for both the systems. is there any way to split the speed equally and distribute it to the two systems through router.

    i have belkin G Wireless router.

    Does your router have support for Quality of Service, and does it allow you to select profiles for each Port/Interface? Splitting the speed equally would normally be done in ideal conditions, but it isn't going to be exactly even. QoS can help to at least prevent one system from dragging down the other.

    What would be helpful to know is your Router's model.

    That is the actual solution -- your router is an older model that doesn't have the functionality you need.
