site problems after using FTP client

Ok just want to know if any one else has a similar problem I was copying my public_html directory from the server to my computer half way thru the transfer the ftp connection drops and my site http://blackdogs.pcriot.com is unaccesible I just checked and on x10hosting my account is not suspended. is their any setings I have to change or do I have to throttle the speed ? any input would be appreciated.
