Nero...

I trying to burn a movie which is exactly 4.5 gb. I have a dvd+rw with a capacity of 4.7 gb. Nero keep telling me that the disc is full. It isn't. I just bought it. What should I do?

if its dvrw i beleive you have to format it

And how do I do that???? OMG! The store has fooled me! Windows says that I have inserted a CD RW

in nero there is no format function... plextools has one...
i think windows will allow you to do it by right clicking on the drive in mycomputer
can't verify that because I run linux

Windows just says "clean this CD RW". I have done that like 5 times. But I should try the things you said. I figured it out... I am pretty stupid. I thought I could burn with nero startsmart. Then I figured out I have nero burning rom installed too. And burning rom don't complain.
