Well, it depends on what you are doing.. for instance if you use any product from adobe you'll probably need more than 4gb even more now that they are migrating their apps into 64bit.

How much RAM do you have? I have 512mb. I need more because if I running Windows Live Messenger, Remote Assistance and Visual Basic at thesame time, my computer crashes really badly.
