    WTF? So Freaking Random

OK so yesterday I was in the middle of working on my website and the it froze up. I waited a few minutes since it always does this. Then it shut off and when I tried to turn it on the lights flashed on and off then the computer just crapped out. Now it won't turn on, any advice?:rant2::dunno:

It sounds like the power supply had a surge. If all the lights flickered, it means that an immense amount of power was pulled into your computer. You should find a way to check and make sure that your chips weren't fried - processors and hard disks are very vulnerable to electricity (even a static shock from your fingers could short out a processor!).

a bad power supply can do many things
    1. Not provide the required power therfor causing lock-ups
    2. providing to much power that it fries you comp to bits and make a bad smell
    3. causes a short and kills the wiring in you house (and sometimes the whole street)
    4. causes parts to expand and contract for the diffrent amount of heat generated by the fluxing power
    5. shockes you and then you die
    6. blows up your speakers and flies bits of stuff at you
    7. killes the pixles in you mointer and you get "dead pixles"
    8. kills you
    9. kills you and your pets
    10. kills everything + your house
    11. kills you in a fire
    12. kills you and everyone who lives next to you
    13. ect..
    14. ect..
    15. ect..
    16. anymore need to be said?

Deathpie is correct. Although you can try upgrading your power supply to a higher voltage. Usually Processors get extra power supply for more power.

the battery could cause the problem if it is incorrectly fitted or if slightly broken

Or providing the incorrect current. Was the battery generic or branded ?
