thanks
EDIT: it is An AMD Althon 64 X2 4400+ the max temp is 65 i know that

56C is a little warm, but not critical - I'd keep an eye on it. Generally though, as long as you're under 60C, you don't have to worry too terribly much. When you break 60, then you very likely have some kind of a cooling issue on your hands... but I wouldn't worry too much as it is right now. From what I hear, AMD seems to be known for making "warmer" CPUs.
Of course, you could always consider what it's saving you on heating bills, if you'd like.
Get a better cooling system on that CPU. My gaming computer has a quad core processor from Intel, and I can max it out and the temp stays well below 50 degrees C at the most at extended use.
My signature likes cookies! Do you? :D
I have a really slow processor at the moment but i am planning to get AMD duak core now ;).
AMD's run pretty hot sometimes, because they're better.56 Celsius is pretty hot, but I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure you have a good heat sink and fan.If you can, try getting it to run cooler by reducing the load, which is hard to do if you run Vista.

AMD is better? Quite the contrary I hear.. Intel has much higher L2 caches generally
That was my own biased opinion.
look at this quick image i threw together would it cause a cooling conflict?
I have an iMac "17 with a 1Ghz processor and 256mb RAM (which really sucks!) and i have PPC too, which ones would support my system?
