Go to 'remote mysql' in the cpanel.
You will need to add the host you want to access it from.
Edit: Then when you connect to the database from the remote location you will have to change the host name to the x10hosting servers IP adress.

I don't think remote MySQL is allowed. Check with a member of Staff first.

OK
Hostname should be Fully Qualified Domain name???
Normal internet users can not have that right...
And what should be installed on the client machine to access DB and quiry using sql?
I dont think you can access mysql remotely as i tried it and it would not connect.

True. I too tried but could not. Should be restrication on that...
A Restriction would make sense, because x10 want you to use the website not just the databases.

Remote MySQL is allowed, but you must get it setup, as your IP address would need to be added to the firewall to allow the access to happen.
Please post, if you are interested in having a remote MySQL, in the Upgrades / Downgrades / Changes section - give as much info as you can. A staff member will then ask for your IP address that will be added to the firewall.
