Movie Recording Software

Hey, i am currently studying year 10 drama in high school and i am looking for a program in which i can record or rip and edit parts of movies or scenes from dvd's or internet stream. Something that has good quality and allows us to also maybe edit sound or import sound and place it in synch with our movie.

Preferably something we can run off a USB, not something you need to install, but worse comes to worse, i can talk to the IT techie and maybe have it installed.

Depending on whether it is freeware or not.

So if you know of any programs that can run off a USB, that allow us to edit, record, and synch sound with the movie, please post the site here.

No warez etc please, if any warez are posted, they will be removed and you will receive an infraction.

So please be good. It's a serious issue, and we WILL NOT use warez etc. at school.

This could be useful. It's the only portable program that does what u want that i know of
