    Port Forward help :3

    Right i have a DSL Modem which i'm trying to forwar dport 80 to the Linksys router, then have the router route it to my computer so i can work with my no-ip domain D:

    i got to m,y router ip and try to forward port 80 to 192.168.254.0 which is my router ip but it says: NAPT server IP address is not a valid host LAN address.

    So yeah D: and when i try to input 192.168.1.100 it gives the same darn thing.

    Any suggestions? :P

    Try forwarding port 80 directly to your PC, instead of forwarding it to your router first.

    I'm a little confused. Are you saying that you're trying to set up a server?

    What are the models of your router and modem? And what is your internal IP address?

    Internal Modem IP: 192.168.254.1
    Internal Router IP: 192.168.1.100
    Router Type: Linksys NR041;
    Modem: Speedstream 4200 Series;

    That? :P

    It may help if you set both your modem and router to be on the same subnet. ie. either both on 192.168.254.* or both on 192.168.1.*

    I don't know how much difference this will make but it may help.

    if you have your hardware set up like i do. you should be forwarding from your modem to your router, to your PC. but I dont really understand what you are saying.

    By internal IP, I meant your computer's internal IP. You should be forwarding port 80 from your modem to your computer's internal IP, not your router's IP.

    Also, you do realize that you can't connect to your server through your no-ip domain from any computer in your network(including yours), right?
