    New Video Card?

hey guys, I just got GRID for PC, and when I got home I was really pissed to find out I couldn't play it cuz my video card doesn't support Shader 3.0

So now I'm on the hunt to find a new video card, does anybody have any suggestions?

Current: RADEON X300 SE 123MB HyperMemory
    Computer: DELL XPS 400

I'm looking for one that has atleast 256MB memory, Shader 3.0 supported, DirectX 10, and under a reasonable budget

I'm also hoping to play Assasin's Creed with it.

Any other questions feel free to ask

If you want DirectX 10, and if you want nVidia, Go for the 8800GT as a minimum. The nVidia 8 series cards are the lowest DX10 cards that nVidia currently offers. As for ATi, I can't voice for them.

    Re: New Video Card?

Heh I was playing GRID as well when I realized I needed a new graphics card.. coincidentally, my new dual slot 8800GT arrives in the mail today!

I suggest a graphics card that has 512 MB memory, and a high number of stream processors, a high clock speed, and high memory clock speed. The 8800GT ranges from 100-150 depending on where you look. I surfed newegg.com and got my card for 129 after rebates
