Right now I perfer Google Talk, for being lightweight and simple.
AIM 5.2.3292 with Aimutation, just because everyone I know uses it. I'm sure there are more pleasant looking IM clients, but I don't care
I use AIM. I've used it for like the past 8 or so years.
I've tried them all, and there really is no winner. These protocols offer mostly the same features. I was not impressed with any of them, especially the ones with ads. Everyone has their own preference, so why stick to one? Makes no sense to have to run multiple IM clients...
I use a multi-protocol instant messenger (able to connect to AIM, MSN, ICQ, IRC, etc.) like Miranda-IM, Pidgin, or Kopete. Best IM programs Ive used.
i use yahoo

MSN. Most of my contacts use that, hardly anyone I know uses Yahoo and AIM I just get too much spam on.
My signature likes cookies! Do you? :D
I like Skype but I usually use MSN because ll my friends use it.
I use both Windows Live/MSN and Gmail, although I use Gmail wherever possible.

I use Digsby, an integrated IMing and Email thing..

i use aim, live, icq and yahoo (using pidgin), but i chat using aim the most, because more people have it.
