Talking Browsing the NET via calculator or notepad

first of all hello every1 ..it's been along time since my last post on this super forums..still i found some time to show you what i learnt ..

Blocked internet at school....then here is way to bypass school filters....u will be able to access admin rights of internet from guest account...

    1) When you open the windows calculator, calc.exe, you can go to 'help' and then click 'help topics'.

Note: This can be done through any of the basic Windows applications, such as notepad.

    2) Right click on the title bar and go to 'Jump to URL'

    3) Type your URL (Make sure you put in http://)

There you have it. Now you can search around the internet using your own private little browser which is easily hidden if and when a teacher walks by.

I tested this at school and it worked like a charm!

Hey that's the same blocking system that my school uses! Whoever manages my school's blocks fails miserably, as they block sites that are actually educational or informative about the world (The Inquirer and DSL Report's forumsfor example! They also blocked these forums as well but not the account panel.). Did I mention that they want to block Wikipedia and that in the past they completely blocked all image searches? I wonder why I'm always VNC'ing into my home connection to use the internet at school and why people are using proxies all the time... those darned blocks. But yeah, doing that is pretty cool, since the help system in Windows, Explorer, and Internet Explorer are all tightly bounded to each other.

    thx, new knowledge to me

but what is the advantage of this if they block at the network level. This seems to bypass at application level.

Hey that is cool I dunno if it will work on all filters, though. Probably the admin at your school got a little bit careless or something.

Windows help center beat us all, can't get through in vista.

Same blocks for me too, I can't get past them. I found some proxies that were not blocked by IP only, but it was caught by proxy activity. Only once did I find someone who could, and I never got that information
