If so, can you please share your experiences with me?
All I know so far that it is
Ubuntu-derived (which is Debian-derived itself)
LAMP Capable
WINE Capable
and pretty stable with proprietary codacs installed, which is a plus.

i've tried Ubuntu Linux before but never Linux mint. i do find Linux a very good OS.
i didnt like the menu too much, but the xfce version menu is better...
for me the only reason to use mint over ubuntu is it already has flash installed (and maybe video codecs) which is useful from the live cd if you like to use live cd's.
I've only tried ubuntu linux, and it runs smoothly in my old p4. You should give it a try.
i had problems installing
it freezes when the setup loads
maybe not compatible
but there it is ubuntu is great!
its server edition may complete your requirements.
Also you can get free cd delivered.
