free video editing

hey i was wondering what is the best free and easy to use video editing software the reason why i need to know is i have little time to look for a software and i need to get this video edited and then burnt for christmas so any suggestions would be grateful thanks :D

If you are looking for an easy one, just have a try on Windows Movie Maker, it come free with Windows XP( If you are using XP)

Windows Movie Maker also comes with Windows Vista as well. Unfortunately, I don't know of anything open source that would do what you're looking for. I can take a look around SourceForge.

I've used virtual Dub before, but I only think you can edit videos in, not make a whole video. It's good for bringing out good quality videos. ;)

its all by chance if it is a vid editing, but its a good website
