Re: Purchasing an NVIDIA Telsa Super-Computer

Someone's trying to beat me in power, eh? Looks like I have some upgrading to do this summer ;)

But congrats on the purchase! Run some Folding@Home/SETI/Rosetta on that (the SMP clients as well as the GPU clients, console versions, pushing the system to the max) and let us know how many Points per Day you get according to FAHMon. By the way, if you're careful, why not try overclocking it and then Prime95'ing the machine overnight to see how much extra power you can get out of it and if the temps stay below 60 Celcius?

Someone spent $10,000 and put it to good use. 960 cores. I wonder...

    Lol.
    We'll see...
I actually plan on using this for Graphically intensive games (like Crysis), and software development

Just as an FYI: The Tesla C1060 does not have any video output ports on the back of it. Hope you were aware of that. Here's it's webpage.

Your system is pretty much already more powerful than mine. I'm running a Single Intel i7 Extreme, 3x GTX280s as well as 4GB of 1800Mhz RAM (going to be bumping this up to 16GB during the summer, as planned anyways). I've also got 4TB of hard drives which I placed into RAID 0, giving me 2TB of space.

This might be of interest :D http://www.overclock.net/overclock-n...gpu2-farm.html

    Lol. Nice

I should be getting this computer in a few days... As I selected rush delivery ;)
Lol, I can't wait... Omg, I'm gonna love this computer.

I have a server room of my own in my house, but it's kinda loud lol... You can hear it just walking down the hallway. But the servers are pretty much always at a good temperature, and perform pretty good without issues...
I'll take pics of it and post probably tomorrow, as I'm about to head to bed.

Say... You should join my forum, and post computer-related stuff!
    You'd be a great mod, I think...
    PM me if your interested.
