    Rocket dock would drive me nuts like that. You can't see the whole window.

    My dock is call AWN. Short for Avant Window Navigator. And I can make it look like/act however I want. I doubt rocket dock is that customizable.

    The dock auto-hides when I don't use it ;). It only appears when I move my cursor to the left edge of the screen.
