Google AdSense is a good one, their payouts aren't so bad. You pick the ad sizes you want on your website, make some customisations to the colours if you like, copy the code and voila, you're done.

They can be found at http://www.google.com/adsense/, and yes it's free. The only catch is you need to wait until there's $100 (about £50) in your account before they'll send you a cheque.
