Backup feature in cpanel

Hi x10 members, just a quick suggestion that i think would be very useful. When my site was hosted with another host (saying no names) i had a backup feature that would zip all the files in my public_html folder and a dump of all the databases i had. I know it can be done manually through file manager and phpmyadmin but i think it would be a great tool to have and would benefit most if not all users.

Unfortunately this feature is unavailable on free hosting, mostly due to abuse. Having 100+ users on a single server creating daily automated backups causes degradation to the services.

We are looking into some other options though to replace this feature.

Smallmot, there is as you say, a way to backup by downloading the zip file to your drive.
Corey is right, too much backup restricts server space for important stuff.

Yours is an interesting suggestion however, one that deserves a follow-up: Perhaps a partnership with a backup storage provider might do the trick, or even provide additional storage.
