Used to play this game alot in the past, and this is how it goes:

The first person asks a question, with two possible answers. The second person must answer the question, posting one on the two answers. They then must ask a new question based on the previous answer.

Example:
Person 1: Dog or Cat?
Person 2: Dog. Cow or Sheep?
Person 3: Cow. Milk or butter?
