Problem sending mail

I have some problems sending mail. First I couldn't send mails from Thunderbird and webmail (Horde), but Thunderbird is working now (Only works when i use ssl).

The webmail 'Horde' is still giving problems when I want to send an email.
I get the following error message:

There was an error sending your message: Failed to connect to localhost:25 [SMTP: Failed to connect socket: Connection refused (code: -1, response: )]

I'm guessing you are on Chopin.. Currently, SMTP is down on Chopin.. I will report this to an admin if I see one in IRC..

Yes that's correct, i'm on Chopin. Thanks for the info.

Is there maybe a central place I can check for server status?
Would be usefull to check when something isn't working.

Found this link service status in cpanel but doesn't show smtp

Corey restarted the mail server on Chopin. All your issues should be fixed.

(anyone know why so much appears to be down lately on the Paid & Staff servers? Is this accurate, or do some of the site's links need updating?)

I'm guessing ssh is just down for security reasons on the paid servers..

Well, I guess there's nothing more secure than something which doesn't provide access at all!

The staff servers aren't looking too healthy either. :happysad:
