Please Help Cron Jobs Problem

I am a beginner to cpanel and cron jobs. i want to set a cron job to run a php script every midnight.its a quote a day script and i tried every option that has been given in other threads but no result. neither the script is run nor any email.i would also like to know which standard time is used to run the cron jobs.

this is the cron im using right noe but it also is not working.

/usr/local/bin/php /home/anugraha/www/verse.php
