Subdomain issues

I need to know if I can use the same wordpress installation on subdomains too or do I have to download fresh files.

technically you could.

but it would require a lot of hacks, changes, and messy stuff i would not want to mess around with.
So it would just be best to upload a new WP installation into a subdomain folder
