Use of a Signature in replys to Posts

I'm a new member and don't seem to be able to determine how to create a signature. The control panel doesn't have a tab for updating your signature. Since I have a free website, am I not allowed to have a signature? If I am allowed, how do I establish it? What are tags & trackbacks?

You are a "new user". Once you enter into Registered User group you can have that facility. Read about user groups here

Tags are keywords that you can use to label your thread so other people searching for your thread can find it easier. Trackbacks are references to other websites where you may have acquired information from.
