mysql database malfunctioning

I am on chopinnew, and for the last several days (after a loss of a day's worth of data), all the mysql connections on my site have been down. I cannot access it at all. Can this be fixed?

Backup the Database First.
Goto "Mysql Databases" in your cpanel

drop user (Don't delete the user or Database)
reassign the user to the database with all the privileges.

You have to do it for two database users as you have a database for your blog and a database for your forum.
