Why do my support threads keep getting closed without a resolution???

I've had a couple of support threads closed recently, including this one: File Not Found error for image file if name is not fully qualified

The thread was closed earlier without being resolved. I re-opened the thread asking for you to look into the matter further. I received no response. Then the thread was closed again, still no response, still no resolution, and still the same problem occurs as described in the thread.

    Why is this happening?

The threads automantically close when nobody posts in it in 2 days. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: Why do my support threads keep getting closed without a resolution???

I have read specific instructions from admins such as Corey and Anna in the past NOT to post to an open topic as that will send it to the back of the queue. So if I have to keep posting every two days to prevent a topic from being closed, isn't that just going to keep it at the back of the queue? What should I be doing to keep the topic open and ensure that the issue gets addressed?

That was during the end of the migrations when there were hundreds of posts.

Now that things have calmed down a bit, it seems that posts can be 'bumped' to the first page to try to get the attention of Staff and others.

I have passed your original question on and I am awaiting an answer.

Not official but: It seems like there is a default Alias in Apache for a top directory /icons to a system directory for the purpose of displaying file type icons when you have indexing on and no index file. If the file is /images/icons , it should not be aliased. Again, not sure, but I think this is the case.
    Nothing is always absolutely so.
