Hi guys, Iīm new on this forum. I have read the FAQ and support already but couldnīt find anything regarding Joomla.

The problem is is that I canīt get my Joomla website running. I am getting this error message:

Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL

What I have done is transferred my content in my local Joomla folder through Filezilla in the public_html map. I think that is right. Then I exported my local database through myphpadmin in SQL when using something like ADD DROP TABLE... etc. Then I created a new database in mySQL databases in the cPanel. Then I created a new user. Then I added the new user to the database and gave him all the privileges. I then went to Myphpadmin in cPanel and imported my local database file. I think my problem is with my Joomla configuration file. I think I have to change more, or changed it the wrong way. I was learned to change var $user var $db but that didnīt do the trick. Can someone give examples of how to do it right? Because I could be using the wrong user and database.
