FTP Account not working

Hey x10hosting Team!

I have created an ftp account to a specific directory on my account, and it shows, however when I try to login using that particular ftp account I get this

Response: 530 Login authentication failed
Error: Critical error
Error: Could not connect to server

So I am wondering why it isn't working? Do I have to do anything special?

which software/client you are using for this purpose?

By the look of that error, you entered the wrong password.

Note that you need to use the username/password combination you have for cPanel, which may differ from what you have for the forums.

You could also try updating the password through the account panel, which would update it for all instances: ftp, cpanel, forum etc.

I am using FileZilla for mac. I have no problem login in with my regular ftp account. However what I am looking at is creating a ftp account with a different password for a specific folder. And I did put the right information, I even went into the ftp account section on the cpanel and updated the password, also created another account with different information and still, it gives me the error I posted above.

Please make sure you are using correct FTP username.

like my additional FTP username is zubair@zubairtech.info Only zubair will not work.

It works the way Zubair mentioned.

My bad. I did not know that. I was just putting the everything else before the (at).
