Error 404 for Default.aspx when it's there

Hi guys,

I didn't find a thread for my problem so here I go. I have an asp.net web application and I uploaded all files for my application through ftp to the server (in public_html folder) but when I try to visit my default page, I get error 404 page not found.

I have made sure the permissions for the files are 755. I also tried publishing the web application and then uploading it - same result. I made a sample asp.net web site and uploaded it on the place of my web application just to see if it made any difference but it didn't. I see that the Default.aspx is uploaded but it seems the server doesn't recognize it.

Do I need to make any settings so that the server accepts asp.net pages?

ASP.net currently is broken. I know its an advertised feature, but with the setup the free servers currently have, it does not work.

I see. But is this a temporary problem of the settings? Because if it isn't, it shouldn't at least be advertised. I lost plenty of time trying to figure out if the problem was in me.

It is currently not listed as a feature in the basic free package in the comparison page, but it is available on the illuminated plan: http://x10hosting.com/free-hosting-comparison
