I am getting the "Support is currently closed for the server your hosting account is on" error.

Your hosting account isn't created yet which is why your getting that error. It can take a few hours depending on how long the account creation que is.

OK, the issue I really need support on is this then: my old suspended account is preventing the site creation:

I don't see that username in the system. Make sure your logging into here with your forum login: https://x10hosting.com/control/
and sign up that way.
