You can get the proxy software from http://www.glype.com/ , it is easy to install and with just two changes in the configuration it should run 'out-of-the-box'.

Unzip the glype-1.1.zip in a folder on your apache2 server. Remember, that the files should belong to the same user as the apache server process. Tell the apache configuration where the browse.php script can be found. Here is an example how to configure the apache:

This configuration is not necessary if you install the proxy in a subdirectory of a already http accessible part on your filesystem. You just should be able to access the browse.php page.

Then edit the settings.php in the glype includes directory and change stop_hotlinking from true to false and change queue_transfers from true to false. That should work now.

Now, in the settop script you need to adjust the proxybase setting to your glype browse.php URL, according to the apache config setting above, it should be

http://your.hostname.tld/glype/browse.php?u=

Everything is setup. With the changed script you should be able to watch youtube videos again. This works, like before, when you tell the youtube watch url on channel 4. Example:
