What is your site?
The only thing I could suggest is to make sure the software is fully up to date.
I am just me
Make sure any files/folders that are supposed to be accessed by the browser is not world writable (ie have file permission set as 777), as having that set will due to security settings end up with a server error.
In general files should be 644, and folders 755.

when i was installing the software i chmodded to 777 like iv done many times before it was fine untill i started to get the lost connection to mysql server thing then it went to 500 internal server error been like that since 1am last night approx
