SMTP Error. Could not connect to SMTP host.

Hi,

I have SMTP error with my gmail account setup when I use my website on x10 server. In localhost it's working fine. Do I need to setup anything in the cpanel for it to work?

Below are the settings I used:

Mailer : SMTP Server
Mail from : xxxxx@gmail.com
From Name : Isaac World
Sendmail Path : /usr/sbin/sendmail
SMTP Authentication : Yes
SMTP Security : SSL
SMTP Port : 465
SMTP Username : xxxx
SMTP Password : xxxx
SMTP Host : smtp.gmail.com

:/ ok, found one more place that seemed to prevent anyone from using an external smtp host, disabled that.

Hopefully there's no more blocks now.

erm... still block somewhere... I still can't connect to gmail smtp.

I try it on a wordpress and it didn't work as well. Can X10 help get this fix asap? I need this to be working...please!

Did some more testing and tweaking, and it seem to be working on the test account I have set up now.

I haven't tested using google apps though since I don't have that activated, but smtp through another mailprovider does work.
