first time upload, not working

Hi there,
As this is the first time ive tried to upload a web site its more than likely something i am doing wrong.

I am trying to set up a web site for my boss, I am using dreamweaver cs4, the trouble i am having is connecting to the your ftp server, here are the details i have put in:

Host name: FTP.amstonework.x10.mx
Folder: blank
Login: amstones@amstonework.x10.mx
Password: My password..

it comes up with an error saying an FTP error occured

so ive tried this dozens of times, tried many differnet combinations of host names ftp names etc either im doing something wrong or maybe a firewall or something im not aware of?

would be very greatful for some help on this one :)

For the login, try just using amstones as the username. Leave out the @amstonework.x10.mx.

k tried that didnt work but now it says:

an FTP error occured - cannot make connection to host
dreamweaver could not make connection to the host because the server is down or not accepting connections

wooo k i unselected use safe ftp and it worked?
