Trying to keep my corner of your server clean, and tidy...question?

    Hi.

I often go through, and clean up my directories so I don't waste your server HD space. Now my question is this, where is my Trash-Bin so I can empty it? So far I have deleted allot of files, and I want to empty it, and keep it clean.

    Just thought I would ask....

    Later!

    Hello mikesla115595,

Your trash can is located at cPanel -> Files -> Legacy File Manager.

Just make sure you always backup all your files before you update/change or delete any files to be in the safe side.

Legacy file manager has nothing to do with old files, it's just the older version of the file manager software. The trash can that is in the right hand side is simply a list of selected files marked for deletion within that instance of the file manager. What I mean by this is that if you put a file in that 'trash can', the file on the server will not be affected at all and it is only when you click 'empty' that the files will be removed.

@mikesla115595: There is no trash bin, all files are deleted immediately when you are in FTP or in File manager. So you don't have to worry about clearing it out, although remember that once you click delete there is no option to reclaim the deleted files.

    Hi.

Okay, thank you. I best be more careful then.
