Considering you specifically agreed to the terms of service when you signed up, 'figuring' that is was allowed is absolutely no excuse; if you wanted to know what is allowed you should have read what you said you had read. Therefore, as this is a violation of the ToS this will remain as a permanent suspension and no access to take backups of any files will be granted before your account is deleted.
Understandable I suppose. I've searched through dozens of free hosting sites and ultimately ended up not using them because my files would have violated the rules. I started working on my xaamp server after I learned about that. I would often go to my friend for advice in programming and so not to blame him but he suggested I upload here to make the work easier. I guess it was foolish of me to assume that it was because this was a secret "unknown" awesome free hosting site that allowed it. I figured he understood what Id be using it for. So... I never found this place on google and when he suggested it I figured he knew what Id be using it. I know that in the end it was my responsibility to review the rules and make sure I knew what I was getting in to, but I honestly never meant to break any rules. So, I'll ask just once more, if there is any way I can have at least a few hours to "vacate the premises". I had done quite a bit of work on those files since I uploaded them. Did not have the time to back them up. I promise not to break any further rules as I'll go back to my xaamp server. If it's still a no, then thanks anyway. I gotta admit tho, that this is definitely the best free hosting site Ive seen. Ive explored the others for reasons other than my "illegal" project and none have been better than this one.
Unfortunately, we don't bend the rules in cases of zero tolerance suspensions. If we don't enforce our own rules, then no one is going to respect them let alone follow them. I've lost code before due to a different stupid mistake and I feel for you, but I can't emphasise the importance of regular backups. Hopefully you'll be able to recover from this better prepared next time you sign up for hosting anywhere.
