    Internal Server Error

I am trying to install XE
so I uploaded, changed file permission to 777 and went into the unzipped folder
    www.dreamweaver.x10.mx/xe
however, it gives me internal server error which I have no idea why.

    Re: Internal Server Error

Because 777 is blocked for security; files should be 644, folders 755. 777 basically means "everyone can read write and execute," which also means any scripts that are prone to malicious code injection can actually do anything with all the other files on the account as well.

That said it looks like you might've fixed this since the site isn't throwing a 500 anymore here.
