    Help locating my "default" file

    Hello,

I am a new subscriber to your webhosting site and I am using this site to create class projects for a webdesign class I am taking. I am on an assignment to edit the "default" file that launches when my website launches. I have found the "folder" (public_html) that contains the links I get when my site comes up and only see one file ".htaccess" in that folder other than the one I created (which displays as a seperate link). Is that the file I should modify, or am I looking in the wrong place. Sorry if this is a "newb" question, but I am new at this. :)

If you are talking about the 'default' file that is supposed to be a default webpage, it should be named index.html If you don't have that file, you can create it if you want to.
