    Manual Deletion of Joomla 1.5

    Hi,

i uninstalled the joomla 1.5 using fantastico and worked ok, now im trying to reinstall it, the problem is that it tells me to manually remove first the files under my public_html folder, i have been trying to delete it many times but it always comes back, so i can't install joomla 1.5 again.

can someone help me, better yet could one of the admins delete the files so i can install a fresh one.

    thanks

Use cPanel-->File Manager or FTP to check the permissions on public_html
    Change them to 0777
    Remove the files/directories
    Restore the permissions on public_html

If the installation was in a subdirectory of public_html, change the permissions there too.
    Nothing is always absolutely so.
