    Wit's End with SSO and LDAP

    I've been trying for the last month to figure out what is and how SSO and LDAP work?

    I'm am trying to integrate two site into one. I would like to have my student base login to Joomla and navigate to classrooms built on the Claroline LMS system. but so far no luck.

    1) Does anyone know how to do this?
    2) How does SSO work?
    3) How do i set up a LDAP??

    I really need to get this project working - PLEASE HELP!!!

    I'm not sure about #1 or #2, but PHP must be compiled with LDAP and unfortunately, I don't believe the free servers have LDAP enabled.

    SSO seems to require some configuration that you can't do on your end, but I don't know enough about it and the information I found was for PHP 4.3 (we're using 5.2).
