unable to delete redirects

I configured two redirects on my frauenlob.x10hosting.com account. Now I am not able to delete them. I get the following error: Error: while opening /home/efraeunl/public_html/.htaccess

any idea what to do?

Use cPanel-->File Manager or FTP to edit your .htaccess file manually or just rename it .htaccessBAK .

If you want to edit it (if it has other instructions) but don't know how, post the contents here and we can help.
