Combining Go Daddy domain with x10 account

    Hi,

I have uploaded all my files to my x10 hosting account and everything's working well.

I bought a domain through GoDaddy (www.emmaellisphotography.com) which I am currently forwarding to my x10 account. However because I'm forwarding it, when I do an analysis of the SEO using a free web tool all the keywords, page titles, alt tags etc are hidden, and I don't want it to affect my ranking in google.

How can I put the two things together? So that when I load a page of my website for example it's not emmaellis.x10.mx/contact but emmaellisphotography.com/contact ?

I hope it's clear what I want to do! Please could you provide me with as much detal as possible as I really struggle with this side of creating websites!

    Thanks.

Re: Combining Go Daddy domain with x10 account

I followed the steps in the first link you gave me and had confirmation from x10 that my main domain has updated. However now when I type in my domain (www.emmaellisphotography.com) it is taking me to an x10 default error page. How can I get it so that it brings up what is shown at emmaellis.x10.mx ?

    Thanks

Your site loads for me now.

Clear browser cache and history before checking your site.

The default page comes up when you change/add domains because while the nameservers are updated (they point your domain to your server) your server itself takes awhile to update the file that links the domain with your account files. It usually lasts only 24-48 hrs.
    Nothing is always absolutely so.
