Hello, I am receiving a message like this when trying to send an email from my Evolution (Linux) mail client, which seems to be a problem with "hotmail blocklist" of the server or something.

The referral website reads this about the 550 SC-001 error:

550 SC-001 Mail rejected by Windows Live Hotmail for policy reasons. Reasons for rejection may be related to content with spam-like characteristics or IP/domain reputation. If you are not an email/network admin please contact your Email/Internet Service Provider for help.

What is wrong? Please help!

Some email providers (Hotmail) have blacklisted x10hosting's email server(s) due to abuse/spam by some members.

They do not even deliver the message to the spam folder. They just reject it.

The main alternative is to set up a Google Apps account for your account. Then set the MX records as Google instructs you. Then send your mail through your Google Apps account. If you want to send mail via scripts on x10hosting, you would use something like PHPMailer and SMTP to route them thru Google Apps.

Thank you for the answer. Fortunatelly I have other domain which I can set up in order to send mail through it. So if there is no fix for this in your side I will continue with other things. But please if you consider keeping me informed about updates on how the "blacklist" is working in the future, I will be glad to have news.
