    A records

I registered a domain of my own, i want A RECORD to configure my domain with x10hosting. What are the A RECORDS and how can i configure?
I feel that its different from Name servers.

Edit: Just to clarify, i cant use Name servers to configure my domain, since i use email service from them. So i need to use A Records(Address Records).

    Re: A records

Head to your DNS management panel provided by your domain registrar (instructions vary depending on DNS host or domain registrar).

Since your account is on the Chopin server, set up an A record for domain.com to 69.175.104.34

Then set up a CNAME for www.domain.com to domain.com

    Re: A records

I'll try it out, and will be back

    Hi techairlines,

I'm bit confused here, i entered Advance DNS Zone editor, in Cpanel.
I found some addresses named A CNAME records. I guess they are meant to configure in registrant company, how is it here in X10HOSTING CPANEL?

    Re: A records

In order to use the DNS Editors provided in cPanel, your nameservers would have to be set to x10hosting.

A domain's nameservers point to where the DNS records are located.

Therefore, unless your nameservers are set to x10hosting, the DNS tools in cPanel don't affect anything.

You will need to ask your registrar if they provide DNS tools, choose a third party DNS provider and create an MX record for mail, or change nameservers to x10hosting and create an MX record in cPanel for mail.

Your nameservers are pointed to your domain registrar, which does claim to offer DNS Management. Setting A/CNAME records here at x10hosting won't do anything since your nameservers aren't pointed here. You need to set it up at your registrar.

Alternatively, you can change your nameservers to x10hosting and add MX records in cPanel to mx1 and mx2.mailhostbox. com

Also, remember that DNS can take up to 48+ hours to fully update across the web.
