    Can't I have a regular ".com" website?

What is the deal with all of the server providers being part of the web address? can't I just have a regular ".com" website? Or will I just have to put up with it? If I can change it, please let me know.

If you purchase your own domain (or perhaps get a free one like .tk or co.cc ), you can use it at x10hosting.

You can use the Account Management Panel , https://x10hosting.com/control/login.php [Forum username & password ] , to make it your main domain.

Or you can use the cPanel [cPanel username & password] to attach it as an add-on (separate site but files located in subdirectory of public_html) or park it (same exact content as your main domain, so you can reach your site via two different addresses ).

Wherever you get the domain, you have to use their system to adjust the DNS so that the nameservers are set to ns1.x10hosting and ns2.x10hosting OR adjust the A record in the nameservers of your choice.
    Nothing is always absolutely so.

If you've registered a regular ".com" domain, you can always put in one of three places:

    1. main domain - you can change this setting in your account panel https://x10hosting.com/control/login.php, just click on hosting details.
    2. addon domain - you can add/change this in your cPanel under Addon Domains
    3. parked domain - you can add/change this in your cPanel under Parked Domain

Make sure that you go to your domain account at your domain registrar and add the following primary and secondary nameservers:
    ns1.x10hosting.com
    ns2.x10hosting.com

If you haven't registered a domain, find a domain registrar and purchase one there.
