cPanel unavailable?

I have been trying to log onto cPanel for the last 12 hours, but have been getting "connection timed out" errors. Is server maintenance being done, or is there some problem with cPanel?

Still unable to access cPanel: Page load times out.

I've tried: Resetting password / Emptying browser cache / Emptying DNS cache -- cPanel still unavailable (connection to chopin server times out). Also seems I can use an FTP Client to download files from the server, but cannot upload.

Now find that I can't respond to any forum posts (other than my own, apparently)...
What it says:

Posting Permissions
• You may post new threads
• You may post replies
• You may post attachments
• You may edit your posts

...and, when I try to Reply:

Could this be due to being unable to get to cPanel to link my hosting and forum accounts?

I don't mind the delay (after all, it's
Free Hosting)...but it would be nice to give the community a status report.

cPanel working fine now...
Suspect cPanel problems, as I've taken no steps at my end since last post.

Haven't tested Forum permissions yet... will drive off that bridge when I come to it!
