cPanel scripting? (xml-api)

Hello!
My searching did not get any useful results. If this has already been answered a hundred times, my apologies, I need to try better search terms!

I would like to use the cpanel xml-api to do some scripting on my client machine. The standard url would be https://stoli.x10hosting.com:2083/xml-api/<api command>
I am getting 404 errors when using this address. If I use stoli:2087, the endpoint exists, but it does not accept my cpanel login credentials.
Do we have access to the xml api or json apis for cpanel?
