Configuring domain at 123 reg to point to x10 hosting

    Hello,

I am having a little difficulty configuring my domain - I have purchased my domain name with 123 reg, and believe I have pointed this correctly to your servers although the website is still not live.

Is there any change someone would be able to walk me through this or have a look at my cPanel to see where I am going wrong?

Thank you in advance for any help!
    Amand

I don't have the power to access your CPanel, but I can walk you through the steps.

    1) At 123reg, make sure you are set up to use nameservers and that the nameservers are set to:
    ns1.x10hosting.com
    ns2.x10hosting.com
2a) Access your control panel and change your domain: https://x10hosting.com/control/?hosting&modify
2b) OR, access your CPanel and add a new addon domain
    3) Wait. These changes take time. Usually a few hours is sufficient, but up to 72 hours could elapse in extreme cases. You can google search for "clearing DNS cache" for whatever your operating system is. For example "clearing dns cache windows 7" for windows 7. This will speed the process along, but it only fixes your computer, not the entire internet.

Cool Re: Configuring domain at 123 reg to point to x10 hosting

    Thank you for your help!

I have set up the nameservers to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com now, so hopefully this should be correct now on 123's end.

I can view my website on my free .x10.mx domain now (this is set as my main domain), however my parked domain which I have added my new url to at least a week ago keeps timing out even after clearing the DNS cache.

I was wondering, would this benefit if I swap these around so that my purchased 123 reg domain will be listed as my Main domain on x10?

I hope this makes sense and thanks in advance for any help.

    Amanda

It makes no difference. Everything looks like it's setup correctly to me. You should be good to go!
